Meet the Staff

Stephanie
Office Manager

Oral Surgery Staff, Port St Lucie FLStephanie is our Office Manager. She is responsible for overseeing all administrative functions (including: billing, insurance, scheduling of employees, accounts payable and receivable) and coordinating the overall flow of the practice (scheduling and patient care). Stephanie also facilitates our monthly staff meetings to ensure the ultimate in patient care is being achieved.

Stephanie began as our Patient Care Representative, where she was responsible for scheduling, insurance and billing. She has extensive knowledge in this area. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, she worked at a dental insurance company in customer service. She answered questions from policyholders and dental offices regarding coverage and claims. She also assisted claims processing with handling claims that rejected incorrectly.

Before moving to Florida from Pennsylvania, she made the switch from working at the insurance company to working in the dental office. There she handled all front desk duties and was the Insurance/Billing Coordinator.

When not working, she spends her time with her husband and two children.

Mandy
Implant Treatment Coordinator

Oral Surgery Staff, Port St Lucie FLMandy is our Implant Treatment Coordinator (ITC). As the ITC Mandy works exclusively with all of our implant patients, educating them about implant treatment, coordinating appointments throughout the entire treatment sequence and answering any questions they may have. In addition, she serves as our patients’ personal liaison between our office and the referring dentists’ office.

Prior to becoming the ITC, Mandy was a surgical assistant. She brings a comprehensive understanding of the surgical procedures we perform and a postoperative knowledge of what you might experience after your surgery.

Mandy graduated from the Surgical Technology Program at Indian River Community College. She interned at St. Lucie Medical Center where she assisted in a wide variety of surgeries. Mandy received her state certification and is a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).

Mandy’s enthusiasm and love for her work has her continuously seeking more knowledge and education in this field at every opportunity. She is very active in the coordination the Sailfish Study Club, a continuing education program for the area dentists and staff.

When not at work, Mandy enjoys shopping and spending quality time with family and friends.

Jeanne
Patient Care Representative

Oral Surgery Staff, Port St Lucie FLJeanne is one of our Patient Care Representatives. She represents our office from initial contact to final contact. She performs all front desk duties: answering the phones, scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out and confirming appointments. Jeanne is the pleasant voice you hear when you receive a call from us confirming your appointment.

Jeanne grew up in Melbourne and began her long dental career as an assistant in orthodontics. After moving to Port St. Lucie, Jeanne worked in general dentistry for 14 years as a front desk receptionist and office manager. She then made a move back to orthodontics for a total of 8 years in the field.

Before joining our team, she worked in dental consulting. She compiled reports, assisted in conducting team building exercises and staff meetings. She was pivotal in helping many offices during the HIPAA transition.

She enjoys movies, concerts, Elvis and Christmas.

Dianne
Patient Care Representative

Oral Surgery Staff, Port St Lucie FLDianne is one of our Patient Care Representatives. She represents our office form initial contact to final contact. She performs all front desk duties: answering the phones, scheduling appointments and checking patients in and out. Dianne also assists in Provider Relations duties.

Dianne grew up in Broward and Dade counties. She worked in her family’s business doing customer service, insurance claims, human resources, payroll and reports before she moved to Port St. Lucie. Customer service is very important to Dianne. You will always see her with a smile on her face and willing to help wherever needed.

When she is not working, she keeps very busy with her husband and two teenaged children.

Our surgical team are exceptional caregivers. Their primary focus is on patient care and comfort. They are dedicated to making sure each patient has a positive experience during the surgical process. They are available to answer your surgical questions.

Diane
Surgical Assistant

Oral Surgery Staff, Port St Lucie FLDiane grew up in St. Lucie County after moving from Georgia as a child. She attended Indian River Community College for her dental assisting training. She worked in the general dentistry field until starting a family.

When she was ready to return to work, she entered into the pharmacy field. Diane was a Certified Pharmacy Technician for 12 years. Knowing of Dr. Brown and Dr. Engebretsen’s reputation, when a position became available with us, she decided to return to dentistry. She loves the oral surgery field. She has successfully completed the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons assisting and anesthesia program. She is also certified in IV Therapy and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support). She is our “Georgia Peach”. It is very gratifying to her to take care of patients. Diane is a calming and loving presence with our patients.

She spends her time away from the office with her husband, two children and two dogs. She enjoys cooking and watching movies.

Martine
Surgical Assistant

Oral Surgery Staff, Port St Lucie FLMartine relocated to Port St. Lucie from Palm Beach County. There she worked for a few years in general dentistry where she became proficient at taking impressions. She then switched to pediatric dentistry, which was a challenging, but incredibly rewarding experience. Patience is an essential attribute when working with children, including children with special needs.

Martine enjoys the oral surgery field. She especially loves assisting with implant procedures. Martine grew up in Haiti. She moved to Florida when she was 13 years old. She is our resident translator. She speaks four languages (English, Spanish, French and Creole).

When not working she loves movies, concerts, bowling and spending quality time with her loved ones.

Susan
Surgical Assistant

Oral Surgery Staff, Port St Lucie FLSusan moved to the area from Miami when she was 2 years old. She completed the Dental Assisting Program through Indian River Community College. She also is Board Certified in Radiography, Chairside and Dental Materials. Susan worked at Martin Memorial South while attending school. She was a Patient Care Technician, where she excelled in phlebotomy and wound care.

After graduating, Susan decided to pursue her dentistry career in oral surgery. She loves assisting in surgery and taking care of patients. Susan has an upbeat personality who loves to learn something new everyday so that she may take even better care of our patients.

She enjoys boating, athletics and spending time with her friends.

Tammy
Surgical Assistant

Oral Surgery Staff, Port St Lucie FLTammy grew up in St. Lucie County. She completed the Expanded Functions and Radiology program at Indian River Community College. She is certified in IV Therapy and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support).

Tammy began her dental career in general dentistry. During the 7 years in the field, she realized she had a passion for surgery. She enjoys ensuring your surgical experience is the best it can be. Tammy always goes the extra mile for our patients.

She spends her time away from work with her husband, son and two dogs.
