The specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery requires up to 7 or more additional years of hospital based surgical and anesthesia training, after 4 years of college and 4 years of dental school. As oral and maxillofacial surgeons, Drs. Brown and Engebretsen manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Drs. Brown and Engebretsen practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise including: extractions, wisdom tooth removal, corrective jaw surgery and tumor surgery. They can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries and TMJ disorders, and perform a full range of dental implant procedures, including bone and soft tissue surgeries for implants.
The surgical staff at Treasure Coast Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery are anesthesia certified oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants who assist in administration of Intravenous anesthesia and surgery. All surgical staff are CPR and ACLS certified.
